Current and Previous Projects
The GGF’s primary mission is to assist with the research at the University of Georgia. However, we also offer our services to the general scientific community and have a nationwide customer-base. Here are some examples of projects with GGF participation:
- Genotyping of SNPs linked to suicide and depression in cross-cultural sample: Dr. Rheeda L. Walker, Psychology Department, UGA.
- Microsatellite development using 454 sequencing: Dr. Stacey Lance, UGA Savannah River Ecology Laboratory.
- Songsparrow transcriptomics: Dr. Kevin Winker, University of Alaska Fairbanks.
- Saltwater crocodile genomics/transcriptomics: Drs. Lee Miles, Sally Isberg, Peter Thompson, and Chris Moran, The University of Sydney.
